Newsletters: are sent home twice each term and a weekly bulletin "What's On" is on the student notice board and is sent home to day students' parents.
School Reports: are issued at the end of each term and a reply form gives parents an opportunity to make comments or queries. A residential report is issued at the end of Term 2 and 4.
Calendar of Events: a yearly planner is issued at the start of each year and an updated version is published each term. This calendar provides information regarding term dates, boarders' weekends and other important events.
Parent-teacher interviews:: can be arranged over the telephone or in person throughout the year to discuss issues as they arise.
Student phonecalls: parents can contact students outside of school hours on 9576 1040 and urgent messages can be left with our Administration staff during office hours. When calling after hours, the phone menu system allows parents to choose the residential house they wish to speak to. The best time to contact students is between 7.00 and 8.30pm. Most students use Telstra's Homelink service, which allows automatic billing of calls to their parents' phone account, or alternatively use Telecard or Phoneaway Cards. The Parents & Friends Association: meets at the start of each term and regularly throughout the year. The P&F organises social functions and fundraising ventures to provide extra benefits for our students. Parents are encouraged to become involved with the P&F and are requested to pay an annual levy to assist with its activities (refer to Schedule of Fees and Charges for Year 2007).
Parents are asked to make a particular effort to be part of school life for Open Day (usually held in August) and Presentation Day (November). Parents are welcome to visit CAC Bindoon at any time and limited overnight accommodation is available on request to Br Bernard White.
